How can I edit my files?

You can edit your files within Doclend (Word, Powerpoint Excel). This way you can create and edit files a lot faster, and empower collaboration while maintaining the highest level of security.

Does the person I share my files with need to have a Doclend account?

Does the person I share my files with need to have a Doclend account? Not necessarily. You can share files with unique links without the registration of the receiver. If you want to collaborate within the Doclend environment the receiver needs an account. You can create an account here.

Can I share my files without restrictions?

Yes, you can share files without restrictions. However, even without adding any restrictions your files are protected in the Doclend environment, this means you keep control over your files. However. we always recommend that you at least add a copy/edit protection.

How is my login secured?

Your account is secured using two factor authentication, this the default. You have the option to change this after your first successful login.

Where are my files stored?

Your files are stored on servers in the Netherlands, bound by european legislation. Ensuring the highest level of privacy worldwide. 

 

What happens when I upload my file into Doclend?

When you upload your file, it is encrypted by default. This means it will be secure no matter where it is stored. You will actively have to give access to people who want/need to see the files.

Can I change the security settings after sharing a file?

Yes, you can always edit the security settings after sharing your files. Within Spaces you have the option to revoke access to the files or remove the receivers. You can also change the edit or time protection functionalities.

How can I restrict access to my files?

Your file is encrypted by default, but you can add different layers of security by adding additional security features such as; Timebox / Print / Edit and Revoke.

Which file types are supported?

Doclend supports all Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, JPEG, PNG, MP3 and MP4 files.

When Protecting a file, will something happen to the extension of the file?

No, the extension of your file will remain the same.
